Webinar – Characterization of Human Samples
Last November, Dr. Matteo Macilotti, legal advisor for the Italian node of BBMRI-ERIC, gave a lecture to the NICo and BBMRI.it communities entitled “Characterization of Human Samples: Core Facility Services and Legal Issues”. The initiative was developed as part of the collaboration between NICo and BBMRI, which also involves the PNRR project Strengthening BBMRI.it.
The lecture lasted a total of three hours and it was divided into the following sessions:
- “Legal Dimensions of Human Samples” on November 15, 2024
- “Legal Relationships between Research Institutions, Biobanks, and Core Facilities” on November 22, 2024
The webinars thoroughly explored, from both theoretical and practical perspectives, the ethical and legal aspects involved in the activities of Core Facilities that provide services involving human-origin samples and data.
Recordings and slides from the sessions are available on this page.
