Flow Cytometry for the Characterization of Cells and Extracellular Vesicles

The working group consists of NICo Core Facilities equipped with advanced technologies for conventional, quantitative, spectral and imaging flow cytometry, used for the characterization of cells and extracellular vesicles (EVs).
The overall objective is to provide a nationally coordinated platform of expertise and services in the field of flow cytometry applied to cells and EVs. These objectives are pursued through activities such as HarmoNICo, funded by the PNRR, aimed at harmonizing and standardizing flow cytometry workflows, combining expertise, optimizing collaborations, and accelerating the development, validation and adoption of new methods and services for the characterization of cells and extracellular vesicles.
The group has conducted a survey of the equipment and applications available in the laboratories of the Institutes belonging to NICo, with the aim of creating a virtual catalogue of the services offered within the BBMRI.it infrastructure.
