NICo not only advocates for the advantages of the “Core Facilities” model – including standardized access rules, technological expertise, continuity guarantees, and service coordination –but also tackles key challenges, such as funding shortages, sustainability, and career development for staff. NICo aims to propose potential solutions and policy directions to these challenges.
