Mass Spectrometry

This working group consists of NICo Core Facilities equipped with cutting-edge mass spectrometry technologies for proteomics and metabolomics research.
The overall objective is to provide a nationally coordinated platform of expertise and services in the field of omics sciences. These objectives are pursued through activities aimed at combining expertise, optimizing collaborations, accelerating the development of new methods and experimental strategies.
The group has conducted a survey of the instrumentation and applications available in the laboratories of the Institutes belonging to NICo, with the aim of creating a virtual catalogue of the services offered within the BBMRI.it infrastructure.
Through the HarmoNICo activity, funded by the PNRR, the Core Facilities co-developed and participated in interlaboratory tests that contributed to improving the quality and harmonization of proteomics services.
